If you’re a Canadian entrepreneur, you’re probably well aware that the annual BDC Small Business Week event kicks off on October 16. Hopefully, you’re planning to attend some of the many events taking place across the country.
It’s also a great opportunity for banks to network and to meet prospective clients. Plus, many of the events themselves will be worth attending. Richmond Public Library, in BC, are organizing many seminars and workshops that banks will find interesting, such as business start-ups, Microcredit, retail loans and grants. And that’s just in Richmond!
Ontario’s hosting a number of events, including social occasions such as the one on October 17 in Atikokan. It’s an evening highlighting service providers and services available for small businesses in Atikokan – and it’s free!
Also in Aitkokan are two workshops on understanding financial statements, which could provide some valuable insight that you can take back to your small business customers. And there’s a Bank Information Night on October 20, where CIBC, Royal Bank of Canada, TD Canada Trust and Nexus Credit Union & Investors group will be highlighted, as well as an open question and answer session.
So it’s well worth checking out, for small business owners and banks alike. You can find out more information about Small Business Week and all the events it’s hosting on their website.
