Making the most of social media marketing

It seems like we mention social media marketing a lot these days, but there’s a good reason – it’s cheap (often free), effective and easy to use. It’s an essential marketing tool for any small business owner, and yet research suggests that many of them still aren’t taking advantage of it.

Everyone’s on social media these days. Well… almost everyone. Certainly enough that small business owners need to sign up as well, in order to stay in touch with their target audience.

When people search for a business, they do it online. If a business has a Facebook page, they’re more likely to go to that instead of the business website.

Social media’s a great way to not only keep in touch with customers, but it’s really effective for driving traffic to a business website. Not only that, but they’re a great way to keep tabs on what’s happening in any given industry, an an excellent networking tool.

In short, there are lots of great reasons that small business owners should be using social media as part of their marketing mix. They actually can’t afford not to, not these days.
