Turning traffic into leads

Here’s the thing about internet traffic – it’s not worth anything unless you can convert it into leads. You can have a great ranking on Google and thousands of visitors to your bank’s website every day, but if those visitors aren’t staying to make an appointment, or hand over their contact details in exchange for a resource, then it’s pointless.

By all means, have good SEO in place, it’s important to drive traffic to your website. But what’s of more importance is what you do with them once they arrive. You’re aiming to at least get their contact details, so you can initiate a conversation. One of the best ways to do this is with a lead magnet, which is something of value that you give away for free so that you can get their contact details. For example, you could offer a business plan guide and template for free download. Once they’ve completed it, you could get in contact with them and offer to review their business plan with them.

Equally important is having visible, easy-to-use CTAs available on every page of the website. You want to make it as easy as possible for visitors to get in touch with you.
